Italian structural codes

the complete historical evolution

Mon Sep 02 2013

This 2013 article by Enrico Salvato presents a detailed picture of the evolution of the Italian structural code. Interestingly, it is clear how the main changes in the code are strongly correlated to main earthquakes that hit Italy in the past. At least for Italian engineers, this article is very interesting and useful. The last major change to the Italian code is the introduction of the “Norme Tecniche per le Costruzioni 2018, NTC 2018” that is not reported in the article.
