World longest bridges

An interesting article in the CNN travel website describes the longest bridges in the world considering various construction types.

For example, the Longest suspension bridge in the world is the 3911m-long Akashi-Kaikyo Bridge in Kobe, Japan. This is particularly interesting because Kobe was hit by a 7.2 magnitude earthquake hit in 1995 that caused 6 434 deaths, among which 4600 were Kobe city inhabitants.
